What is coming up!
- Dec 11th: SPIRIT DAY. Wear something festive (ie., sweaters, socks, hats, headbands etc)
- Dec 18th: Fun Lunch: Papa John's Pizza
- Dec 19th: SPIRIT DAY. Pyjama and movie day
- Dec. 19th: Last Instructional Day
- Dec. 20th- Jan. 3rd: Winter Break
Here is what we have been learning this week...
Literacy: We wrapped up suffixes by completing a SWYK and we described the character from Elf by using those suffix words. We also practiced cursive with letters w, i, and u- skinny slant letters.
Math: Everyday we participated in math centres where grade three's practiced their addition and subtraction with regrouping. Today we learned about dot plots and line plot.
Science: We completed our science SWYK on matter. Next week we will start a new unit- Forces!
Social Studies: Grade three's learned about the five different treaty territories in Alberta. Such as, treaty numbers 10, 7, 6, 4, and 8! Ask your child what a treaty is.
Visual Arts & Buddies: This week we finally met our kindergarten buddies. We helped them create a Kadinsky inspired Christmas tree.
Physical Education: The focus this week was skipping! We will continue with skipping next week as well.
