If was a very short week, but we were productive! Here is what we have been learning.
Literacy: We worked on writing show-don't tell-writing. Students practiced adding detail and descriptive words to their writing to create visualization. Our Show don’t tell writing focused around gourds! The end goal was for me to able to guess which gourd they were describing.
Math: Students were asked to asked to read various numbers between 500 and 100 000. We also uncovered a weird and random fact by solving addition and subtraction equations.
Social Studies: We looked closer at the different regions of Alberta. Ask your child what are the six different regions in Alberta.
Health: We talked about strategies to help calm our bodies.
Field Study/ Community walk: We enjoyed our walk and took pictures of nature. We will use these pictures for a project in the future!
