It was a short but sweet week! Here is what we have been learning...
Literacy: This week for paragraph writing, grade 3's focused on opinions. Students had to choose what they would rather: control the weather or talk to animals, and to state their opinion for if all students should wear uniforms. We discussed that when we write about our opinions, we should be including reasons and examples to support your reasons.
Grade 3's were introduced to a new literacy station- typing club!
Mathematics: We continued our multiplication and division stations. Next week, we will have new games to learn and then a SWYK for this unit. Please continue to practice multiplication and division facts with your child to support their fluency.
Science: Grade 3's explored natural events and how they change the earth's surface. Ask your child what is a natural event, and which ones could happen in Alberta!
Physical Education: The olympics have come to NLS! Grade 3's practiced hockey, speed skating and biathlon.
Have a great long weekend and enjoy family day!
